Summer in New York never came! It's already turning cool and my pasty skin never got a chance to cook up some heat for the winter.
I have a heaping handful of shoots I want to blog about, but I felt like posting this one as I'm listening to the John Coltrane record Josh just gave me. :) I now know I've never listened to real jazz before...
Andy would call himself a drifter and I met him at the Rabbit Hole (cafe around my corner) on his NY circuit back to New Orleans. He was laughing boisterously loudly from a table away which was hard not to catch onto, despite the fact I didn't know him or what was funny. He became a Rabbit Hole regular I always counted on seeing when getting coffee (and taking a break from editing!) We shot these photos at Coney Island a few days before he drove back to New Orleans. Thanks to Jaimie for lighting for us.

somehow stayed awake until sunrise this morning after a late, great night shooting nicole and jeff's wedding in westhampton... i was just about to drift off to sleep when i saw the sky turning a deep violet so i did this slow-shutter shot on my windowsill. i wonder which planet that is?
now back to sleep.

now back to sleep.
