I flew out to Austin this weekend to photograph Rachel and Sterling's wedding at the beautiful Mercury Hall. I was super excited to hear they were getting married since I knew them both from Baylor, where Rachel and I took French classes together all through college. (She's working on her PhD now... wow!)
Austin is such a beautiful city, and so relaxing -- but Rachel, Sterling, and their wonderful families were the reason I enjoyed myself so much.

(06.05.09 @ 06:36 AM)You did an absolutely fabulous job! You certainly captured the love Sterling and Rachel share for each other. Now I fully realize what Rachel meant when she said, "No one else will do but Lauren to take my wedding photographs!!!". You took a very, very special day and made it even more special. It was a true pleasure to meet you. Thanks for everything. With sincere thanks, Dana Pate (aka Mother-of-the-Bride)
Naturally, inspiration like that can only be found in Texas. Lauren, you're a gem, so glad to have you in the circle.
